Our Story
Where it began.
For years, the incense I used during prayer left my eyes burning. Something meant to bring peace had become a source of discomfort. That experience led me to a question: What should fragrance truly feel like in the spaces we hold sacred?
My first thought was to replace conventional incense with diffused essential oils—a gentler way to bring fragrance into moments of prayer and reflection.
As the idea evolved, I began exploring another possibility: traditional, alcohol-free attars as an alternative to alcohol-based perfumes. This discovery opened up a new dimension of fragrance for AURAH.
And so, AURAH began to take shape—a thoughtfully curated collection of essential oils and alcohol-free attars, bringing together the beauty of fragrance, the spirit of tradition, and the art of mindful living.
Created for moments of prayer and reflection, our fragrances are just as welcome beside your yoga mat, at your work desk, or by your bedside.

Made the Traditional Way
Essential oils
The Art of Steam Distillation.
Most of our essential oils are steam distilled. Steam passes gently through the botanicals, carrying their aromatic essence with it. As it cools, the oil separates from the water and is carefully collected.
Attars
The Heritage of Deg-Bhapka.
Our attars follow the deg-bhapka tradition. Botanicals are heated in a copper deg, and their vapours travel through a bamboo pipe into the bhapka, a receiver resting in cool water, where the fragrance is slowly captured. It cannot be hurried, and that patience is why an attar stays with you.
